Hi there!

Hey - I have a new look! Yup, I have finally decided to dispense with my own homemade background graphics and such, and use the free website templates my website host offers. I like this one, all these sunflowers, as I grow them all spring and summer long on my property in West Virginia. I had the old stuff up forever....didn't realize how bad it looked on the larger monitors. Haha This should work. I hope.

Old Stuff

My little corner of the web used to be called The Mecca. Now I am trying to remember why I named it that. Way back in the day...a decade ago, I used to call it The Little Shack In The Woods. Hum. That would fit more than The Mecca. I would get hits from people looking for information about the real Mecca. Alas, they were no doubt disappointed when they found all my Sim 2 info and stuff about West Virginia.

We all make embarrassing mistakes.

When I was giving this website a good looking over, I realized I had some very old links on this website. On the Meet Our Cats page, I had a link to a guestbook, called Paradise. Uh-huh. You can imagine what I saw when I clicked on it. Let's just say it wasn't family friendly. That resulted in a complete revamp of that page.

Autumn

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. I am blessed to be an a part of the United States where we actually get to experience the change of the seasons. The air is pleasantly cool, and the crunch of leaves underfoot lends a reminder that we are experiencing Mother Nature at her best.

I can look forward to this as being a time of change, and the end of my summer garden. Time to get started on planning next year's.
